MingJen's Operating Manual

I turn messy situations
into clear next steps.

Observe the field. Find the next move.

I help teams understand the situation, identify constraints, find leverage, and move forward with practical actions.

A strategist's desk with maps, scrolls, and seals — visualizing MingJen's operating manual in the spirit of a Three Kingdoms Moushi.

The Moushi Method

In Chinese tradition, a Moushi (謀士) is a strategist who observes the situation, understands constraints, and helps decide the next move. This is my modern version of that role.

  • One / Observe

    See clearly

Map the facts, constraints, risks, and relationships.

  • Two / Decide

    Find the leverage

With limited resources, judge what's worth doing first.

  • Three / Move

    Land the next step

Break strategy into actions that can be executed and verified.

Role Versions

Not a single job title, but a set of modes for handling complexity.

  • 1.0

    The Fixer

I restore broken systems and make things work again.

  • 2.0

    The Translator

I help different people understand the same problem.

  • 3.0

    The Strategist

I read the situation, identify constraints, and find leverage.

  • 4.0

    The Coach

I help people build judgment, not just get answers.

When This Helps

When the problem isn't a shortage of people — it's that the situation isn't clear yet.

  • The real problem is unclear
  • Resources are limited and tradeoffs are needed
  • Systems are growing and need a new direction
  • Teams are talking past each other
  • You want to use AI or automation but need to pick the right battle

Where I Start

Start close to home. Build from what's near.

Public contact isn't open yet.
I'm starting with the people and company I already work with,
building real outcomes and trust in real situations.
If you already know me, or come through someone I know, let's talk.
